5 Reasons You Need An Online Ironman/Triathlon Coach

1. Inspiration

Having a training plan keeps you motivated and inspired. Knowing exactly what to do each day will help you get out the door when it’s raining or when you feel tired. You have committed to buying and following a training plan. It has been expertly created by an experienced coach. You just need to follow it to realise the true extent of your potential.

2. Focus

With a structured triathlon training plan all you need to focus on is your training and recovery. You can leave the thinking and planning to someone else. That way you can spend more time training or with your family and friends.  

We use Training Peaks online software, which means your workouts can be emailed to you or viewed on your phone, tablet or computer. Once you’ve completed a session, you can use your watch, phone or cycle computer to automatically upload your training data so that you can track it. 

3. Objectivity

Perhaps the biggest benefit of triathlon training plan with coach email access is that your coach helps you see the bigger picture. A good coach thinks in terms of one week, three months, six months, a year and several years ahead. Athletes don’t think like this – they are more emotionally engaged in the day to day ups and downs of training in the short term. A good tri coach is well qualified and full of knowledge. In most cases your coach will have amassed lots of knowledge about training and coaching – more than you can ever expect to learn yourself. As an athlete you can leverage this knowledge and experience to improve at a rapid rate.
