I will admit I was slightly skeptical at first of having an off-the-shelf plan but as my training data gradually built up I could really see and feel the benefits of what was being delivered. Run and cycle routes I was doing in Z4/5 back in April were being knocked off in Z2 by late September.

As for the race I trained for, I had set myself a goal of trying to get under 1:20 and I did it....just! I got a 1:19:55 and couldn’t have been happier, despite the forecast of monsoon-like wind and rain, the day was dry with a slight breeze and it was amazing how naturally I felt I dropped into the pace I’d selected beforehand and then executed on Run 1. I was a bit quick on the bike, I really need to get a better feel for how I can be more consistent with my power but managed to maintain a decent pace on Run 2 and deliver on my goal. All in all a great experience of following the plan and I will be using you again for next year's racing. Well structured, easy to use plan that does not require too much technology and data. It brought me in a very good shape and I will for sure use a following workout plan.
